Who's Behind Palouse Express
Hi! If you haven't met me, my name is Emily Hagen. I am a wife, mom, and lover of gardening and reading books (among other things). I grew up in the Northern edges of the Palouse and loved it so much I moved back with my family! In the spring of 2017, Clint and I decided it was time for me to be a stay at home mom. So, I quit my job of 5 years, from an advertising company in Downtown Spokane where I was a front end developer.
Since that time, Palouse Express was born. This is a place where I can briefly step away from the "mom zone" to collaborate with others in the advertising industry, continue to challenge my brain to help clients solve their business problems and needs, and to build relationships with the clients that help make up Palouse Express.
You may be asking yourself, what in the world is a front end developer? It is a position that let me wear many different hats and gave me skills to make the design of a website come to life and function for users, worked with e-commerce platforms, and was able to tinker with many other aspects of projects. A few examples of content management systems I have worked with include BigCommerce, Shopify, WordPress, custom CMS, and much more!
As a front end developer, I use HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and jQuery. When I build custom websites, I use Bootstrap as the primary framework and then continue the build depending on the needs of the website. If Bootstrap does not fit the project, I am also able to build my own responsive framework.
